April Showers and May Flowers. Here are our amazing blooms: close to 800 meals in the month of May! 800!

An amazing accomplishment, thanks to our Veganteers in New York, Portland, Denver, San Diego, and Puerto Rico!

I am proud and grateful beyond words and very excited about the future. If we can feed 800 people in a month out of our kitchens, imagine what we can do once we are established in a commercial kitchen?! I know this will happen, and our numbers, the amount of people that we help will keep on multiplying. 800 meals in a month! Help us continue this work! Make a donation! Share it with your friends! Help us increase this number!

This past weekend, San Diego and Puerto Rico distributed vegan chili to the homeless and the community. Thank you Tara and Nikki, and Zuleyka and Janice for dishing out compassion! Here are pictures of their distributions:

Puerto Rico Chapter Dished Out Compassion

Last Sunday was the first vegan chili distribution of the Puerto Rico chapter of Chilis on Wheels and it was a success! Even under the pouring rain they were able to provide a warm vegan lunch to people in need. We are so proud of the Puerto Rico team for dishing out compassion!

Chilis on Wheels Puerto Rico receives press attention

Nuevo Día- Por Dentro section- Sunday March 15th issue

Our Chilis on Wheels chapter in Puerto Rico is gathering some press. They were featured in El Nuevo Día, one of the most widely circulated newspapers in the island. Thank you for helping us dish out compassion!

I’m very excited about the opportunity to help our communities by giving out a nutritious and delicious lunch, by allowing them to participate and volunteer and allow children to become involve in the process of volunteering, and also about the opportunity to spread the vegan message far unto the yonders, farther than imagineable. I’m very excited about this project, and each day I wake up with an eagerness to build it and shape it and allow it to take shape on its own and in turn to shape me.

Congrats, Zuleyka and Puerto Rico team. I’m very proud of your willingness to extend this project to Mayaguez, the city where I grew up, the city that made me vegan, the city that shaped who I was to become. ¡Gracias y felicidades!
